SPO goes missing with service rifle

A Special Police Officer has been reportedly untraceable along with his service rifle from Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Partap Singh was posted at Ramsoo police station and was on duty at Patiyal Bridge area, a police official said.

Singh, however, was found absent from duty yesterday, following which the police inquired about his whereabouts from the family members, but in vein.

After Singh could not be contacted over his cellphone, a case was registered in the matter and efforts are being made to trace him, the official said.
