Two killed in group clash

Two youths were killed while four others, including a woman, sustained injuries after a clash broke out between two groups in Chilkana area of the district.

Police and PAC personnel were deployed in the area after a mob, furious over the killings, set a number of houses on fire in the Dasa Majra village, SSP Vijay Yadav said.

The victims were identified as Sumit and Sanju, he added.

The tension had been brewing ever since a girl belonging to the backward community allegedly ran away with a youth of a different community a fortnight back, police said.
