Steel prices range bound in thin trade

Steel prices moved in a narrow range in limited deals at the wholesale market today and settled around previous levels.

Traders said adequate stock position against restricted activity from construction units kept prices steady.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 43,500, 10-mm Rs 43,000, 12-mm Rs 40,600, 16-25 mm Rs 41,400.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,200, 10-mm Rs 42,900, 12-mm, Rs 41,900, 16-25 mm Rs 42,000.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
