Sugar prices rise

Barring sugar, the prices of all commodities remained unchanged in the whole sale foodgrains market here today.

After remaining steady for six days' sugar price rose by Rs.50 to Rs.3,300 per quintal from its last rate of Rs.3,250.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri- commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,000 Urad Dal Rs 7,800 Moong Dal Rs 8,800 Gram Dal Rs 3,800 Sugar Rs 3,300 wheat Rs 2,400 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,500.
