Sugar rules stable in mute trade

Prices of both varieties of sugar ruled stable in an otherwise mute Vashi wholesale market here today in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Small sugar (S-30) and Medium sugar (S-30) both closed at yesterday's level of Rs 3,700/3,800 and Rs 3,770/3,940 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,700/3,800 (Rs 3,700/3,800).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,770/3,940 (Rs 3,770/3,940).
