Sugar prices were down by Rs.30 per quintal at the wholesale sugar market in the national capital today largely on mounting stocks on persistent supplies from mills amidst scattered buying.
Marketmen said adequate stocks in the market on the back of increased supplies from mills mainly weighed on sweetner prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices slipped by Rs.25 each to settle at Rs.3,000-3,190 and Rs.2,990-3,175 per quintal.

Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices eased by Rs.25 each to Rs.2,840-3,040 and Rs.2,830-3,025 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Asmoli, Simbholi, Khatuli and Chandpur were down by Rs.30 each to Rs.3,000, Rs.3,020, Rs.3,025 and Rs.2,900 per quintal.
Prices of Mawana, Kinnoni, Daurala, Bulandshar, Morna and Anupshar looked down by Rs.20 each to Rs.2,980, Rs.3,040, Rs.2.980, Rs.2,940, 2,870 and Rs.2,840 per quintal respectively.
