Sullivan Stapleton to star in 'The Lake'

'300: Rise of an Empire' actor Sullivan Stapleton has been cast in filmmaker Luc Besson's new movie 'The Lake'.

Besides Stapleton, there have not been any other names mentioned to join the cast of the upcoming action thriller, reported Deadline.

The film will tell the story of a group of Navy SEALs attempting to solve a long-forgotten mystery while uncovering an immense treasure hidden in a lake in war-torn Serbia.

It is not known yet on what character Stapleton, 37, would be portraying.

Besson wrote the feature alongside screenwriter Richard Wenk, with Steven Quale on board directing. Shooting will be kicked off this coming April.
