Surrendered Naxal killed in Kanker district

Karu Dugga, a former Naxal, was killed near his house at Barda village under Pakhanjore police station limits, a local police official said.

The village is around 300 km from Raipur.

As per the preliminary information, Dugga, who had surrendered last year, was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by a group of five who left him dead on the spot, the official said.

A police team was rushed to the spot and further details were awaited, he added.
