External Affairs Minister today welcomed Beno Zephine, a visually-challenged IFS officer from Tamil Nadu, hailing her success in the civil services examination.

The External Affairs Minister lauded Zephine's determination to succeed and wished her all the very best when she called on Swaraj.

"No hindrance to dreams. EAM @SushmaSwaraj welcomes Beno Zephine, an embodiment of determination, to world of diplomacy," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swaraup said in a tweet.

25-year-old Zephine, who hails from Chennai, is probably the first 100 per cent visually-challenged officer to gain entry into Indian Foreign Service.
