Tamil TV channel reporter faints in melee while covering event

: A Tamil TV channel reporter covering the road roko of AIADMK candidate Om Sakthi Segar in protest against presence of 'outsiders' in Nellithope constituency,where a bypoll was held, fainted in the melee.

Rahman, also secretary of Puducherry journalists Association, was rushed to a hospital and given immediate medical attention, officials said.

Later the speaker of Puducherry assembly V Vaithilingam, accompanied by convenor of Karaikal unit of DMK A M H Nazeemcalled on Rahman at the government general hospital here.
