Temperature hovers above normal across Punjab & Haryana

Fog reduced visibility at many places in Punjab and Haryana today where the minimum temperature continued to hover a few notches above normal.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a further increase in its minimum since yesterday to settle at 9.2 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal, the MeT Department report said here.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a low of 10.1 degrees Celsius, up four degrees while Hisar's low settled at 9.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.

Karnal recorded a minimum of 8.5 degrees Celsius, up two degrees against normal while Narnaul's low settled at 6 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.
Amritsar in Punjab recorded a further increase in its minimum temperature since yesterday to settle at 8.8 degrees Celsius, which was six notches above normal.
Patiala recorded a low of 9.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal while Ludhiana registered a minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius, up two notches against normal.
The maximum temperature at many places in the two states have been hovering a few notches above normal during the past few days, a MeT Department official said here.
According to the MeT Department here, fog reduced visibility early this morning at some places including Hisar and Karnal in Haryana while shallow fog prevailed in Ludhiana in Punjab.
