Thanks for sending b'day greetings on social networking sites'

: DMK President M Karunanidhi today thanked party cadres and the public who had sent their birthday greetings to him through social networking sites.

"On my 91st birthday, 14.40 lakh cadres and public across the globe sent their greetings to me through short messaging service (SMS), Facebook and through my twitter accounts", he said in a party statement.

"Your greetings are encouraging and are motivating to my public life. I whole-heartedly thank you all for their greetings", he said.

Karunanidhi turned 91 on June three and a host of events were held across Tamil Nadu on that day.
