Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot today demanded formulation of a policy to enable transfer of government employees so that transfers are done only for those who require it and not on humanitarian grounds.

"There are allegations on the government that transfer has become a trade. The time has come for a transfer policy. Transfers should be done on humanitarian grounds," he told reporters here.

"The government is run by the RSS and this is reflecting in the transfers. Those who are not associated with RSS are being transferred deliberately," he alleged.

Gehlot claimed that Congress never did transfers on the basis of ideology.

Targeting RSS on its change in uniform, the former chief minister said they should change their ideology with the changing time.

"People should understand them that there is difference in what they say and what they do," he said.

He also targeted the state government over law and order situation and change in the school syllabus.
