Three boys drown in river

Three boys drowned today in the

Kari-Kosi river in Bihar's Katihar district, a police officer said.

The incident took place when four boys were taking bath in Kari-Kosi river and three of them met watery grave after slipping in deep waters, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Lal Babu Yadav said.

The bodies of two victims have been fished out, while another was missing, he said, adding the fourth boy was rescued by the local people.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, Yadav said.
