The water level in Chambal river has crossed the danger mark due to rains in Jhalawar and Kota districts and release of excess water from Kota barrage, prompting the district administration to take precautionary measures.
Movement of vehicles on Chambal bridge is going on in controlled manner and policemen have been deployed on both sides of the bridge to regulate traffic, police said.
The water is flowing at 132.30 meter against the danger mark of 129.79 meter today.

Meanwhile, Met department has issued warning of heavy rainfall for isolated areas in eastern parts of the state during the next 24 hours.
On the other hand, light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places in Jaipur division, at a few places in Kota division and at isolated places in Udaipur and Ajmer divisions.
Heavy rainfall also occurred at isolated areas in Jaipur till morning today since yesterday.
Alwar recorded 10 cm rains while Behror and Ramgarh (both in Alwar) received 7 and 6 cm rains during this period.
Barring Jaipur, which received drizzles, most of the parts in the state remained dry since morning to evening today.
