Three dead, ten injured in car-van collision

Three occupants of a car were killed on the spot and ten others injured when their vehicle collided with a van early this morning at nearby Kottampatti, police said.

The trio, between 26 and 28 years of age and belonging to Madurai, were returning from Vailankanni when the mishap occurred at Ammapatti villakku, they said.

The injured persons were hospitalised, police said.
