Two committees formed for Solid Waste Management: Govt

The state government today stated before the Karnataka High Court that they had constituted two expert committees for Solid Waste Management.

During the hearing on a batch of petitions on garbage menace in the city, the state government filed its status report before the division bench headed by Justice N Kumar submitting the constitution of the committees.

The civic body, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) also a filed a report in which it stated that Solid Waste Management Processing units will be in place by the end of May.

The court then stated that only when report of the expert committees is placed before it, it will be possible for the court to give further directions.
 

The court then adjourned further hearing of the matter to May 27.
