Two detained under Goondas Act

Two history-sheeters have been detained under the Goondas Act.

K.Lakshmanan (26) of Alesibam in Hosur taluk and V.Murugan (28) of Kelamangalam in Denkanikottah taluk, who have several cases registered against them including murder for gain, in Krishnagiri, Tiruvannamalai, Erode, Virudhunagar districts, were detained under Goondas Act as per the orders of the District Collector T P Rajesh, a release said.

Lakshmanan had been detained under Goondas Act in 2011.

As both of them continued their anti-social activities, the Krishnagiri Superintendent of Police P.Kannammal recommended to detain them under Goondas Act, it said.

Both have been lodged in the Salem Central Prison.
