Two girl students drown in canal

: Two girl students drowned today while taking a bath in a canal carrying water from the Gunderipallam reservoir, police said.

They said a 20-year-old girl student of an Industrial Training Institute of Vaniputhur village near Gobichettipalayam and her 14-year-old relative had gone to the canal for a bath, were caught in the current and drowned

Their bodies were recovered this evening by police and and Fire and Rescue services.
