Two including army jawan killed in road mishap

An army jawan and another person were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a truck here, police said today.

The jawan, Bhagwan Pal (27), and Rajan Yadav (17), riding pillon, were hit by a speeding truck near Dharni turn on Bairiya-Ballia road. They were killed on the spot.

The truck driver fled from the scene, police said, adding that efforts were being made to arrest him.

Bhagwan Pal, posted in Jammu, was on a visit to his native village here, they said.
