Two killed as mini-truck hits rock

Two persons were killed and another labourer sustained serious injuries when a mini-truck hit a road side rock in Patamda, about 25 kms from here, the police said today.

The incident occurred when the driver of the asbestos laden mini truck left for Jamshedpur from Kamalpur but lost control over it, hitting the road side rock at Thantani Ghati last evening, officer-in-charge of Patamda police station Shristidhar Mahato said.

The driver and a labourer were killed and the vehicle was damaged in the collision.

Another labourer was sustained serious injuries, Mahato said.

The injured was admitted to M G M Hospital here.
