Two killed, two injured as train hits van at level crossing

Two persons including a woman were killed and two others were injured when a local suburban train hit a motorised van at an unmanned level crossing in South 24 Parganas district today, police said.
The Up Namkhana-Sealdah local hit the motorised van which got struck at the unmanned level crossing at Singharhat between Kulpi and Karanjali railway station at around 1.05 pm, the police said.
Meenakshi Halder, a van passenger and Bablu Gazi the driver of the motorised van were killed in the incident, police said adding two other persons were also injured.
