: A septuagenarian woman and another lady aged 65 years were found strangulated in their house in Udayampalayam in the city today.
Both women were eking out a livelihood by selling flowers and doing petty jobs in houses, police said.
Neigbours grew suspicious when they found the front door locked from outside for long. Some of them then broke it open and found the body of the 65-year-old woman inside.

Police suspect it to be a murder for gain as an almirah inside the house was also found forced open.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot and pressed sniffer dogs into service.
