A mob attacked and injured two ticket examiners, blocked tracks and pelted stones disrupting local train service for over an hour at the Bagnan railway station in Howrah district today, railway sources said.
The mob action followed reports that a woman passenger was injured after being allegedly pushed out by a ticket examiner from a Howrah-Midnapore local train.
South Eastern Railways spokesperson Soumitra Mazumdar denied the allegation.
