A prestigious drama school here has been fined 12,000 pounds after a prominent fashion designer who made dresses for Kate Middleton shattered both his legs by falling 20ft down an unmarked lift shaft.
Hector Maclean, 25, shattered both his legs in the horrific accident at a property owned by The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in central London.
He fell 20ft through a set of metal double doors onto the concrete base of a lift shaft at the RADA property in Camden last March, The Telegraph reported.

Hector said his career had been 'left in tatters' after he leaned against a set of metal double doors and plunged onto the concrete floor in central London, breaking both his legs.
Acting academy RADA has been fined 12,000 pounds for breaching health and safety regulations as a result.
"RADA could have built a permanent structure here. They haven't used it [the lift] in seven years so we say they could have built a wall.
"They could have put visible locks on the door. They could have put warning signs on the door to stop this kind of accident happening," prosecutor James Caren told Westminster Magistrates' Court.
The promising fashion designer and model, from Clapham, said how he has been unable to return to the catwalk and had also missed out on opportunities to appear at London Fashion Week.
