Unaccounted cash over Rs 1 crore seized

The police today seized unaccounted cash worth Rs 1.75 crore from three persons during a routine checking at the GT road here.

The cash was recovered from a SUV which was intercepted by the police near Baproar village, SP Bhupinder Singh Khatra said.

The money was handed over to the income tax department and the I-T officials will question the three persons -- Jai Singh, Dharminder, Lebwis -- to ascertain the source of the money, he said.
