Two unclaimed suitcases at separate places in busy Bistupur market here today sparked bomb scare but no explosives were found in them later, police said.
Both the suitcases were kept on two-wheelers - one near a noted jewellery shop and the other near a saloon, around 300 yards away from the first one.
As soon as the news spread in the area, the police brought sniffer dogs to ascertain if the suitcases contained bombs, police said.
Bomb squad and dog squads from the CRPF were also brought in but no explosive was found in the suitcases.
While some documents related a life insurance company was found in one suitcase, the other one was taken to Bistupur police station for thorough verification.
