Union Home ministry employee killed over monetary dispute

An accountant working with the Union Home ministry was today murdered allegedly by a man over a monetary dispute in Kakroi village in Haryana's Sonepat district, police said.

52-year-old Rambir was found with serious injuries near the accused Rampal's house today, SHO, Police Station (Sadar), Sonepat, Inspector Virender Rao said.

He died while being taken to the hospital, he said.

"Rambir, who was employed as an accountant in the Union Home ministry, had lend an amount of Rs 50,000 to Rampal of his village. Prelimnary investigations revealed that Rampal had some argument with the victim when he asked him to return the money and subsequently he attacked him," Rao said.
 

He said a murder case has been registered against the accused on the complaint filed by Rambir's wife.

"Police is conducting raids to nab the accused who is absconding," he added.
