UP: Son beats father to death over family dispute

A 40-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his son over a family dispute at Bhuma village in the district, police said today.

The incident came into light yesterday after the motorcycle, on which the accused son was carrying the body, bumped into another vehicle, and due to panic they left the body at the spot, the Station House Officer (SHO) Ajay Choudhary said.

"The accused, including deceased's son Ankit and two others, were on their way to dump the body when the motorcycle they were travelling in bumped into another vehicle," the police official said.

Police has registered a case against the accused son and his two accomplices on the basis of the complaint lodged by victim's wife, he added.
 

According to the officer, all the accused are absconding, and efforts are on to nab them.
