BJP today demanded the Congress government in Uttarakhand should hold the guilty officers answerable for submitting inflated or forged bills during the 2013 floods relief works.
"A new scam has now come to light. While people were writhing in pain, there were some people who were making merry on government money. BJP demands a thorough inquiry into this and asks the (Uttarakhand) government to hold someone accountable," BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said here.
"(Congress vice-president) Rahul Gandhi had recently visited Kedarnath. Did he not see through such a big scam? He should spend some energy in bring an end to scams," he said while interacting with media.

To a question, Hussain said RJD and SP will draw blank in the Bihar Assembly elections, notwithstanding their alliance.
"The million dollar question is how long the alliance of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mulayam Singh will last. They had come together before for election in Jharkhand and scored a zero. This time too they will score a zero, whether they fight independently or in alliance," he said.
