VC residence 'seized' by Visva Bharati students

A section of students of Visva Bharati University today laid a seize on the official residence of vice chancellor Sushanta Duttagupta, demanding his resignation.

The seize began at 2 pm, shortly after the VC returned home after attending a programme at the Sriniketan campus, with the demonstrators threatening to carry it all night long.

Meanwhile, the 'dharna' by a section of teachers, employees and students have been simultaneously going on in front of the central office of the university.
