AAP leader Ashutosh today had an altercation with police officials after he was allegedly denied entry to the venue where the party convener Arvind Kejriwal was addressing a rally ahead of Lok Sabha polls.

The incident took place just before the commencement of the rally. Ashutosh, flanked by AAP volunteers, was seen arguing with police officials over entry to the venue.

The argument went on for some time before senior police officials intervened and and escorted Ashutosh to the rally venue.

"Police officials were arguing with me. Initially, they did not allow me to enter the venue," Ashutosh later told PTI.

Today's rally was part of the three-day road show of AAP in Uttar Pradesh.

On an earlier occasion, Ashutosh had a similar altercation with Delhi Police during AAP's sit-in at Rail Bhawan in January.
