Weather in Bihar remained mainly dry today causing discomfort to people.
A MeT office report said no rainfall was recorded from any of the four major cities of the state.
The absence of rainfall led to increase in temperatures by a few notches with Patna registering the maximum temperature in the state at 37.3 degrees C, followed by 36.9 degrees C in Purnea, 36.6 degrees C in Bhagalpur and 36.2 degrees C at Gaya.

In its forecast for the next 24 hours for the state, the MeT department has predicted partly cloudy sky in Patna and Gaya and partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder in Bhagalpur and Purnea.
Purnea remained the most humid place with a humidity level of 80 per cent followed by 79 per cent in Bhagalpur, 75 per cent in Patna and 72 per cent in Gaya.
Meanwhile, 12 districts in the state have been hit by floods due to overflowing Ganga, Sone, Burhi Gandak and Punpun rivers.
