A woman fell from the roof of her residence and died while trying to save self from monkey attack here, police said today.
Mamta, a mother of two, was basking in the balcony last week when a handful of monkeys prowled on her. She jumped from the balcony in order to save herself, killing her on the spot, they said.
The recent attacks by monkeys have instilled fear among the locals. Not only the monkeys but even the baboons a part of the attacks.

Over 23,000 monkeys have been sterilised in the capital town here by Municipal Corporation.
The Wild Life department officials claim that 40,000 of sterilised monkeys were females and the drive has prevented birth of one lakh of them.
The population of monkeys was over three lakh at present, and had the monkeys not been sterilised, it would have been reached a figure of more than four lakh, they claim.
Selective killing of prowling monkeys could be a solution to monkey menace but the government is reluctant, state convener of farmers' outfit Kheti Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, said.
