A woman allegedly poisoned her children in the age group of 4 to 12 years and then committed suicide by consuming the same poison-laced beverage near here, police said.
The 36-year-old woman had returned following a quarrel with her husband, a construction labourer at Chennai, some days ago.
She had allegedly given a poison-laced beverage to the children--two boys and girl-- last night and then consumed it herself, police said.
While the three children died on the spot, the woman passed away at the Government Hospital here, police said.
Police said a case was registered following a complaint from her father.
