Woman killed by lighting

A 45-year-old woman was killed today while her son suffered burn injuries when they got struck by a sky lighting in Sisola village, about 55 km from here.

Santrabai Meena was in her field along with her 20-year-old son Mayaram when it started raining, police said.

The duo took shelter under a nearby tree where they were struck by the lighting, killing the woman instantly and injuring the son, they said.

Mayaram was undergoing medical treatment at a nearby community health centre, they said.
