Woman, paramour shot dead by father-in-law

A woman and her "paramour" were today shot dead allegedly by her father-in-law in Sandana area here.

Saroj Singh (36) allegedly had an illicit relationship with Rakesh Rathore (27). When Saroj's father-in-law Brij Kumar caught them in a compromising situation this morning, he shot both of them with his licensed rifle, police said.

Both of them died on the spot.

Police claimed the accused, whose son works in Ghaziabad, confessed to his crime before the police and said that he shot them in a fit of anger after he came to know of their relationship.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
