Woman poisons son, commits suicide

A 38-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide after administering poison to her son in Banswara district, police said.

The child, Nikhil, complained about abdomen pain to her grandmother last night after which both were rushed to a hospital, Additional Superintendent of Police of Banswara, Rakesh Kumar, said today.

Both of them died in the hospital.

"Reason of the suicide is not clear. Woman's husband, Bharat, works in Kuwait and has been informed about the incident," the ASP said.
