Woman surrenders to police after killing husband

A woman allegedly killed her husband during a quarrel and then surrendered to police at Nabadwip town of Nadia district today, police said.

The woman came to Nabadwip police station and surrendered alleging that she killed her 60-year-old husband Gour Paul with a crowbar during a quarrel.

The woman identified as 55-year-old Kajal Paul claimed that she attacked her husband with a crowbar after he hit her during a quarrel, the police said.

Local people took Gour to hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The police said they have detained the woman for questioning.
