Women raped by brother-in-law in Faridabad

A 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her brother-in-law in Jasana village here, police said today.

The victim, a resident of Shahbad Dairy, alleged that she was raped and threatened by her brother-in-law Subash, who took advantage of her husband Surjit's mentally unstable condition, in March 2013, police said.

The victim also alleged Subash of harrassing the husband-wife duo and said that her in-laws turned a deaf ear to her repeated complaints, police added.

Subash allegedly threw the victim out of her house today in presence of her brother following which she registered a complaint at the Tigaon police station, police said.
 

A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC, police said, adding that investigation is on in the matter.
