The Ballabgarh administration today held a joint meeting here, while urging the residents of clash-affected Atali village to "create a conducive environment" for the victims to return.

Commissioner of Police Subhash Yadav, Additional Deputy Commissioner Aditya Dahiya, SDM Ballabgarh Priyanka Soni and Prithla MLA Tek Chand Sharma had a joint meeting at the SDM office in Ballabgarh here.

The people of the Atali village, where the reported May 25 clashes took place between two communities over construction of a religious structure, were also called in the meeting where they were urged to create "a conducive environment for the victims to return".

Violation of law and igniting riots would not be tolerated in any case. We have already filed an FIR against the people identified among the rioters, Yadav said.

The administration advised the people from majority community to take a step forward and help the victims to return by instilling confidence in them.

ADC Aditya Dahiya said that no one else can be helpful in resolving the deadlock but the community itself.

MLA Tek Chand Sharma maintained that developing such tensions is not good for the environment as well as for the next generation.

For this, any help needed from government would be at their disposal, he said.

The residents of the Atali village assured the administration of resolving the issue in amicable matter.

At least five persons were injured and around 15 houses gutted after a clash erupted between two communities over construction of a religious structure in Atali village in Faridabad on May 25, following which the district administration has beefed up security.

The victims have been staying at a makeshift camp at Ballabhgarh police station ever since the violence.
