The two-day old strike by revenue employees of Yavatmal district was called off this evening after the intervention of Divisional Commissioner Dnyaneshwar Rajurkar, who accepted their demand.
The employees went on an indefinite strike yesterday to protest suspension of their three colleagues, who are facing charges of cheating and forgery, and demanded their immediate reinstatement.
There was a meeting between the representatives of employees union and Rajurkar along with District Collector Sachindra Pratap Singh to find a way out to end the stir.

During the meeting, the Commissioner asked the Collector to withdraw the suspension orders of the three employees, official sources said.
Accordingly, the Collector took back the suspension orders after which the employees called off their strike with immediate effect, they said.
