Youth beaten to death in road rage in Jammu

A 27-year-old youth was beaten to death in an apparent case of road rage after his motorcycle collided with another two-wheeler near the old Janipora area here, police said today.

Rakesh Kumar was beaten to death last evening by at least three persons following an altercation after their motorcycles collided with each other, police said.

The victim, a resident of old Janipora area, was riding along with his younger brother. At least three persons were reported to be travelling on the other motorcycle, they said.

The body has been sent for postmortem.

The accused have been identified, police said, adding that no arrest have been made so far.
