A 22-year-old youth was killed after being run over by Ahmedabad-Delhi Ashram Express while he was crossing the tracks at Rewari railway station here this morning, police said.
A young woman, who was accompanying him, also sustained injuries and has been referred to the PGIMS, Rohtak in a critical condition.
They were identified as Sunil Kumar of Badsi Gujran village in Bhiwani district and Pooja (22) of Rohtak district, police said.

A senior railway police officer said the train driver had told them that the girl, who had just crossed the tracks, made a bid to drag away the youth.
However, while the youth was run over and killed, the girl was hit and got seriously injured.
The girl had so far not been able to give her statement to the police, he added.
