Shares of education company Zee Learn rose by nearly 3 per cent today after the company reported an over two-fold increase in standalone net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The stock gained 2.74 per cent to settle at Rs 46.80 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 8.23 per cent to Rs 49.30 -- its 52-week high.
At NSE, shares of the company went up by 2 per cent to close at Rs 46.55.
On the volume front, 8.38 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 49 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
Essel Group promoted education company Zee Learn has reported an over two-fold rise in standalone net profit at Rs 6.07 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2.27 crore in the third quarter of last fiscal.
Its total income from operations grew by 14.31 per cent to Rs 25.47 crore during the period under review as against Rs 22.28 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal, Zee Learn said in a BSE filing.
