Zooey Deschanel converts to Judaism?

Actress Zooey Deschanel has reportedly converted to Judaism.

The "New Girl" star, who has three-month-old daughter Elsie Otter with producer husband Jacob Pechenik, was raised by a Roman Catholic mother and Quaker father, but recently decided to embrace her spouse's faith, reported Examiner online.

"Zooey converted to Judaism for Jacob," a source said.

The brunette beauty previously admitted she was interested in most beliefs, saying: "My family is liberal. I was raised in the 'you can be whatever you want' kind of way. And in the end, I was like, 'Eh.' I mean I'm interested in theology, and I love reading about it. But I don't attach myself to any one religion or other."
 

Meanwhile, Deschanel, 35, and Jacob, who tied the knot in June, are adjusting well to parenthood.
