(Reuters) - Goldman Sachs Group Inc
The Wall Street firm, which was seeking to raise $5 billion to $8 billion for its first buyouts fund since the 2008 financial crisis, is expected to close the fund in the coming weeks.
Called West Street Capital Partners, the fund has already invested around $2 billion in deals, the people added. The sources could not be identified because they are not authorized to speak to the media.
A Goldman spokeswoman declined to comment on the fund.
