Cegelec Inks Two Deals With Pgcil

French company Cegelec, a subsidiary of Alcatel Alsthom group, has signed two contracts with Power Grid Corp-oration of India for supplying electrical equipment in the country, the firm has announced in a communiqué. The first contract is for turnkey supply of an electric network management system for North India, to go into service in January 2002. The second relates to providing a data transmission system for an electricity network in South India to go into operation in the second half of 2000.
