Philips India Ltd has secured a court order to clamp Section 144 CrPC today at the venue for its annual general meeting (AGM) as the management fears that the meeting may turn out to be a stormy one, said sources.
The board of directors is expected to face the ire of employees as well as the shareholders on the management decision to shift the company's television making unit from West Bengal to Pune. The shifting of television factory does not leave much activity except the lighting division in Calcutta, said a union source.
