Norway’s telecom firm Telenor, which holds a majority stake in a joint venture with Unitech in India, will offer full cooperation to the government’s investigating agencies on the ongoing issue of Unitech’s eligibility criteria to offer mobile services.
In a select media briefing, Telenor CEO and President Jon Fredrik Baksaas said the company had met all requirements and had already given full support to the agencies at the time of entering India.
The company, which offers mobile services in India under the brand name Uninor, had done its own investigation while entering India in 2008.
